Pleasanton Leaf Pick-up Service Now Underway!
The changing colors of the trees in town are so beautiful this time of year, but the fall colors also are the sign that yards and streets will soon be blanketed in leaves. Fortunately for Pleasanton residents, the city has an annual leaf pick-up program. It is now underway and will run through mid-January.
The city’s leaf crews work one or two days ahead of the regularly scheduled street sweeper, which passes through residential neighborhoods once a month. You can help the leaf crew out by raking your leaves into the curb and gutters, leaving the storm drain clear. Only leaves should be raked into the street, not other debris such as yard clippings, tree branches, gravel or dirt.
The leaf pick-up service is a collaborative effort between the city and residents to keep storm drains clear for the rainy season. To find out when the leaf pick-up date is for your neighborhood, If you are unsure of your leaf pick-up date, call the city’s Operations Services Department at 931-5500.
