Valley Trails is a charming community of 480 homes, nestled in the heart of Pleasanton. The community of cul-de-sac streets, which are named for national parks such as Yellowstone, Kings Canyon and Haleakala, is encircled by Valley Trails Drive and has two entrances off of Hopyard Road.
Valley Trails was originally built in 1971 and features homes in the 1,500-2,500 square feet. There are several different models in this neighborhood, although many have been remodeled and updated over the years.
One of the neighborhood’s key features is the arrangement of cul-de-sacs around a central Valley Trails Greenbelt, which provides residents with a walking path, picnic areas, playgrounds and basketball courts. The neighborhood also has an entrance to the Arroyo Trail system, a favorite among walkers, runners and dog owners.
Located directly across Hopyard Road from Pleasanton’s Sports Park, Valley Trails is within easy walking distance to the city’s largest playing fields.
Residents are also centrally located to downtown shops and restaurants as well as shopping centers such as Hopyard Village and the Stoneridge Mall. Neighborhood schools are Donlon Elementary, Hart Middle School and Foothill High School, all of which are within walking and biking distance. The central location also offers easy access for commuters to freeways and BART.
